Who are we ?

We are people who wish to live in the countryside and live in a sustainable way. Besides that we share a common outlook on life recognizing that "there is more between heaven and earth than meets the eye".

We come from many different points of origin, all desiring a life in a community based on open minds and respect for each others way of thinking and acting in life.
We wish to share experiences and to learn from each other.

Hallingelille (previously Village2000) is an old vision.
It all started out with the dream of a village in the open land, including alternative institutions – e.g. a hospice, treatment homes for emotionally damaged children, conference centre, health house and communal housing for elders.

Legislation makes it extremely difficult to get permission to build in "the open land."
That is why we have chosen to make the project in connection to an existing village.
This does not alter the original vision, but some of the planning will have to involve and require cooperation from the residents of the area.
